We are announcing the TOP 4 team in each challenge who will be invited to the finale at Millenáris

9-10 November | Offline finale in Budapest

The 24-hour-long finale, where the TOP 12 teams will get the chance to measure their knowledge and compete for the prizes.

Challenges

The purpose of the challenges is to support Yettel in learning about the most innovative solutions for current trends like energy saving, energy crises, inflation, community challenges.

If you are interested in the 3 following topics, do not hesitate to apply and submit your project until the 1st of November in one of them.

Detailed challenges will be published on the 10th of October, at the start of the semi-final.

Game rules

On the 10th of October we will share three challenges with you. You can apply solo or in a team and choose one of the challenges given. You'll need to submit your solution until the 1st of November and wait for the jury's feedback wheter you got into the finale or not. The offline finale will be only open to the TOP 12 teams selected by the jury.

The in-person finale will be held at Millenaris Park, Budapest. We will inform the finalists teams the week before the finale. Please note that the in-person final is a closed event.

Semi-final

All projects have to be submitted through the JunctionApp in the Hack it your way - Yettel hackathon event until the 1st of November.

To submit a valid and appraisable project, please follow these steps:

  • Create a 2 minute video pitch and upload it to YouTube (The video can have you talking, a live app demo (if you have one), some cool animation, etc... whatever fits best)
  • Create a GitHub repo
  • Link the YouTube video and the repo in your submission form
  • Fill out the description part thoroughly

Please, make sure to follow these steps strictly otherwise we will not be able to evaluate your project.

Final

The 12 projects that will get into the final will have to develop their project according to further given criteria that will be only shared with the finalists. During the in-person final, teams will have 24 hours to improve their idea with the help of experts and mentors by Yettel and at the end they will also have to present them in front of a jury.

TOP 12 from the semi-final

Yettel jury will decide who can attend the offline final in Budapest. They will choose the best 4 projects from each challenge who later will be notified and invited to the final.

Yettel jury will decide who takes home the challenge prized.

Grand winner

At the end of the 24-hour-long final each of the 12 teams will get the chancee to pitch their idea in 4 minutes. After the live pitches are over, the jury and the participants can vote for their favourite project, and the one that gets the most votes will be awarded the grand prize.

Audience award

After the live pitches anyone from anywhere will be able to vote for their favourite project under the offical Facebook event. The one with the most votes can take home the Audience award.
